  • Settlement rejects if counter went backwards

  • Fake balance requires forging entire chain
  • Each tx requires registered merchant signature
  • Fraud = lose bonded collateral (slashing)

Anti-Double-Spend

  • Transaction log shows recent history
  • Settlement reconstructs full history
  • Divergent histories = fraud detected
  • Guilty merchant identified by signature

New state and transaction log entry written to NTAG 424. Counter increments automatically.

Terminal batches transactions and submits to blockchain. Smart contract verifies and credits merchant.
